Jay Peak Barn House

Here's a Vermont ski house that is architecturally very different from any other, and is fitting for the state of Vermont (which has 6,700 farms, 152,000 cows and is the 4th largest state in milk production in the nation).  The Ski House of the Day is the Jay Peak Barn House.

It looks like a big red barn on the outside, but inside it has exposed timber frames, a cozy wood-stove, warm radiant heated floors, cathedral ceilings, three bedrooms, a loft plus a sleeping nook, and an abundance of windows.

The Jay Peak Barn House is not directly on the slopes, but it's just a few minutes drive from Jay Peak;  and if you're planning to add Jay's backcountry to your glades skiing at Jay...its location might be perfect for getting a ride back to the barn.
