The Ski House of the Day is Eagle Point, a glamorous mountain retreat 15 minutes outside of Banff, in Canmore, Alberta, Canada.
This gorgeous ski house is a 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom, 3-story, 3,000 sq ft home that was built in 2004 and won the Canmore House of the Year! Here are just a few of the reasons why it won. The massive fireplace built of local Rundle Rock (with its curved hearth, beautiful wood mantle and built-in wood storage) is absolutely gorgeous:
( Rundle Rock was first discovered on Mt. Rundle in Banff National Park, and was used in the Banff Springs Hotel and Bow River Bridge in the Town of Banff).
Spectacular wide open spaces with soaring 25' vaulted ceilings and huge windows:
I love the stone work surrounding the stove/oven in the gourmet chef's kitchen:
The theater/media room (with a 100" screen) looks comfortable and fun (is that a Gone with the Wind poster? Hey, Warren Miller...where are you?):
Wow! Check out this corner fireplace in front of the Jacuzzi in the master suite:
...and cozy mountain decor:
The house also has Brazilian cherry and heated slate flooring, a heated garage, and many more luxury details.
The very private hot tub, sunken into the deck and surrounded with snow, looks absolutely awesome -- day or night! Who wouldn't love to relax in this hot tub apres-ski?
And check out the breathtaking views of the Canadian Rockies from this fantastic ski house:
Oh, Canada!
