The Ski House of the Day is called Haus Teresa, a totally quaint ski house tucked into the mountains of Austria. To me this "haus" looks like a delicious German chocolate birthday cake decorated with sweet flowers (and the deep fluffy snow that's undoubtedly piled high on the roof right now is the icing on the cake).
This newly constructed house is situated in a tranquil area on the hill, near skiing, and has views of the surrounding mountains. Skier conveniences include a ski storage cellar, ski boot dryer and the fact that the ski shuttle stops right at the front door. Haus Teresa is located in Flachau, the birthplace of skier Hermann Maier (Olympic gold medalist) in the Ski Amande region (a network of 28 ski areas and towns).
Haus Teresa looks like a really sweet and inviting place to spend a ski vacation. I just might need to brush up on my German. (Alles Gute zum Geburtstag, Teresa!). Gehen wir Skifahren!
