Quebec Ski House

I spent some time in Quebec last weekend.  The autumn color show is gorgeous, and the air is beginning to chill.  It won't be long until it starts to turn white again.  So, with Quebec lingering on my mind, The Ski House of the Day is this beautiful Quebec chalet, in the wilderness yet near Old Quebec in Quebec City:

The exterior of this "ultimate mountain house" is field-stone, and there's a beautiful and functional red metal roof under all that snow.  In fact, the lines of this roof really seem to symbolize a Quebec ski house to me.  The interior of the chalet is all wood which adds to the quaintness of this chalet.  The cozy, relaxed living room has a very nice stone fireplace, which looks like a wonderful gathering spot for apres-ski:

I like the Quebec ski posters displayed throughout this chalet, like the one above the long dining table for 12:

The surprisingly spacious chalet has six bedrooms and three bathrooms; the all-wood decor continues for slightly rustic, but cozy, simplicity in the bedrooms:

The game room features a red pool table -- to match the roof, and (although not fully shown in this photo) has a nice display of hockey memorabilia on the wall...after all, it is Canada, eh?

Skiing is a short drive away at Stoneham Mountain, Mt. Saint Anne, and Le Massif.  And for something a little closer:  dog sledding (!) and snowshoeing are both within walking distance.

The chalet is located on private road...and is secluded in the woods among the tall evergreen trees:
...in a beautiful Quebec setting!

And here's what I think is the icing on cake of this sweet Quebec ski house...the private hot tub out on the deck in the snow and among the tall trees...

Perfectly beautiful!
